Principal Welcome
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year at Glacier Edge! On behalf of the Glacier Edge staff and myself, we are so happy to welcome our school community back for another year filled with learning, fun, and building relationships throughout our community. Here at Glacier Edge we prioritize collaboration to enhance student learning. We strive to provide opportunities for all children to learn and experience success to prepare our learners to thrive in a diverse global society.
Last year, Glacier Edge, along with all VASD neighborhood elementary schools, implemented two new curricular resources in literacy and social studies. We are excited to continue to utilize these resources grounded in grade level standards. We are committed to promoting and providing high-level learning opportunities and will continue to nurture a strong partnership between home and school.
Throughout the summer, our teachers have been busy creating classroom environments for our children to thrive, while our office staff were planning for the school year by registering new families, ordering materials, and updating student files. Our dedicated custodial team has spent the summer thoroughly cleaning our building from top to bottom while also welcoming several summer camps to share our space. Our PTO also continues to develop fun ways to welcome our students back to school, create opportunities for families to volunteer, and support our teachers to continue their work. It is truly an honor and privilege to serve the Glacier Edge community. I am so excited to begin this year, we have an amazing learning community and I am thrilled you are all a part of it.
