Acceptable Use Policy

To enhance student learning, the Verona Area School District (VASD) provides students with access to the Internet, a global network with a wide range of information from throughout the world. Students have opportunities to access the Internet in classrooms, computer labs, and libraries under the supervision of staff.

Although the District has an Internet Web filtering measure in place, it is impossible to ensure complete protection from access to inappropriate material.  Students receive instruction in the appropriate use of technology, and they are guided toward resources appropriate to curriculum goals.

To ensure the responsible use of the Internet and Email, all users are required to adhere to the Verona Area School District Network User Agreement and Internet Safety Policy. (See http://www.verona.k12.wi.us) Inappropriate use may result in the loss of privileges to use the VASD network and/or Internet and Email. Parents/guardians and students should discuss the content of this letter and the policy.
