Part of Discovery Streaming.  Has detailed information about people and places from around the world.  Includes photographs and movies.

Encyclopedia Britannica
Atlas for Elementary Students provided by Badgerlink. 

Fact Monster
Reference site that includes an almanac, encyclopedia, and dictionary. The United States section provides maps, important documents in history, and information about cities and states, population, government structure, and even different laws and timelines of U.S. history. The World section covers countries of the world, current events, world history, natural disasters, wars, geography, and different religions. Includes articles, subjects, and links to social studies related topics.  Includes a history story, current event, and information about upcoming holidays or events on the main page.  Contains some advertisements.
